This year Laurence King is celebrating 20 years of independent publishing and they are giving you the chance to design some celebratory artwork for the occasion. The winning piece will become their official 20th anniversary poster that will be distributed in Don’t Panic packs right across the country as well as being shown on www.laurenceking.com and www.grafikmag.com.There will also be a special event showcasing the artwork at Woddbridge & Rees gallery in September. An online portfolio is more than just a first impression; to potential clients you are that website. Mark Penfold from Computer Arts gathered 40 pro tips for getting it right and asked me to contribute.
Design portfolios should never get between the viewer and the content. But a great online folio should convey a little something about the mind that created it — a hint of personality — and getting this balance right is what being a designer is all about. USA by Designers is a collaborative collective set up by Hug Utd. Hype Up Gallery's ambition is to promote art and artists by means of international projects which makes sense: An art bearer of messages, a real visual commitment opening a sociological and cultural dimension. In other words to shake things up. They deserve a shout today as they are doing something which needs to be done!

Design Studio Two Points based in Barcelona, Spain have kindly asked me to submit work for the latest edition of the 'I Love Type Series' published by Victionary Workshop, Hong Kong, China. Previous titles have included 'I Love Futura' and 'I Love Avant Garde'. The publication will be designed by Two Points. Many thanks to Lupi for the request.
Rockport Publishing, USA have been in touch and have asked me to submit my best Typographic work for their up and coming book, Design Elements: Choosing and Using Type. The full-colour publication will be available in early 2012.
