A hand painted typographic solution applied to banners and placards using poetry in the environment to raise, in an emotional sense, critical issues within society about human rights abuses. This on-going action/public art piece is concerned with asylum seekers held in detention centres around the UK.

The aim is to create positive social change, by questioning and constantly sparking debate around such process’s on the human consciousness.

The idea was developed by applying Sonnet 44 by William shakespeare in a modern and topical context. The theme of Sonnet 44 is Distance and the pain of separation.
